My dedication to photo-journalism and to theatre and stage photography has been preserved, so I still work regularly in this field. A good eye and some precise working methodes are required, as the defining moment often is quite short.
Above all my special attention is devoted to the human being itself. This can be a studio shooting, a documentary in a country abroad or in the middle of a concert hall. People are fascinating again and again.
As a photographer I am a painter of light. But the subject itself cannot be invented, it is here already. Maybe that’s why Henri Cartier-Bresson has abandoned his camera in his late years and turned towards the pencil. But he was a master in both disciplines, photography and drawing.
As a photographer I see the reality with my own eyes – and they have their own character how they perceive our world.
